FossIsTheWay Config Curator
Set up a FossIsTheWay app for your UNA Watch in a few steps.Choose the app, give it what only you know, adjust anything else, and put it on your watch. This is a developer's own page, not UNA's. Nothing leaves your browser, and the address bar keeps your choices: bookmark it to come back to them.
Choose your app
Tap the app you want to set up.Its steps follow below.
The lines fetched for each object
Look up your declination
Type a town near you and choose it from the matches. Its declination today, from the World Magnetic Model, fills in the setting below. The nearest town is close enough: declination changes slowly across a region, far more slowly than a wrist compass can read.
Find your port's tide
Or say where the tide comes from:
How to find these, and how to check the result
Or type them in from a tide table
Adjust anything else
Written by the watch itself
Nothing to set: the app writes these as it runs. They are shown so a file you load can be checked.
Put it on your watch
Two ways, and either works. The phone app reads back whatever is on the watch, so the two never fight. Nothing on this page reaches the watch by itself.
With the phone app, no cable
With a USB cable, all at once
See the settings file
The file as the watch will read it.Plus anything carried from a loaded file that the watch wrote itself or that this version does not know. Those carried values never go into the address bar: a bookmark or a shared link carries your choices, not your coordinates.
So the file reads complete. Off writes only what you changed, which is what the phone app does. The watch treats both the same.
